Statement issued by the Ahwazi National political organisationsRegarding the Ongoing Conflict Between the Iranian Regime and Israel
The Ahwazi National Forces are closely and gravely monitoring the escalating conflict between the Iranian regime and the State of Israel. We affirm that this war did not arise in a vacuum; it is a direct consequence of decades of aggressive policies pursued by the Iranian regime—not only against its own peoples but also against neighboring countries and the broader region.
The Iranian regime bears full responsibility for igniting the flames of this war through its longstanding practice of exporting domestic crises beyond its borders, orchestrating proxy wars via armed militias, interfering in the internal affairs of Arab nations, and persistently advancing a nuclear project that threatens both regional and global peace. Additionally, the regime has militarized towns and cities across Iran’s political geography, with a particular concentration in the Ahwaz region.
In this context, the Ahwazi National Forces hold the Iranian regime fully accountable for any civilian casualties or material losses resulting from this war. We strongly condemn the transformation of Ahwazi cities into weapons depots, missile launch sites, and military operation zones—practices that effectively turn innocent Ahwazi civilians into human shields in a conflict to which they are neither party nor supporter.
Accordingly, the Ahwazi National Forces affirm the following:
- Hold the Iranian regime responsible for initiating the conflict and its repercussions, which stem from its expansionist, militaristic, and terrorist policies that have destabilized the region for decades.
- Demand the immediate removal of all military installations and missile sites from Ahwazi cities to protect civilians from the horrors of war, emphasizing that the continuation of these practices constitutes a war crime under international law.
- Call on the international community to take a firm stance against the Iranian regime, urging concerted pressure to dismantle its military and militia infrastructure both domestically and abroad, and to restrain its nuclear and aggressive ambitions.
- Assert that the fall of the Iranian regime is no longer merely a domestic demand but a regional and international necessity to ensure peace, security, and the right of nations to self-determination, free from authoritarian domination.
- Reiterate their call for a broad coalition composed of non-Persian nationalities, democratic forces within Iran’s political geography, affected states, and international actors committed to peace and stability, with the shared goal of dismantling the terrorist Iranian regime. This coalition must support the right of all peoples to self-determination, and lay the foundation for a future based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights—ensuring lasting peace, stability, and prosperity for the peoples of the region and preventing further destruction and warfare.
- Affirm that the decisive blows currently being delivered to the regime in Tehran provide undeniable evidence that its collapse is imminent. In light of our national and humanitarian responsibility, we urge the international community to uphold its legal and moral obligations by supporting our efforts to protect the Ahwazi people and ensuring the protection of critical economic infrastructure against acts of sabotage and destruction.
The Ahwazi people, who have endured decades of systemic repression and terror under successive Iranian regimes, now stand at a critical juncture. This historic moment demands urgent international support and political protection for their struggle to reclaim their national rights, determine their own destiny, and build a future founded on freedom and independence.
Glory to our righteous martyrs.
Freedom for our Ahwazi Arab people.
Victory for our just cause.
