Mass Ahwazi demonstrations against imposed drought by Iran

PADMAZ- Thousands of Ahwazi people have demonstrated, today 15th July 2021, in several cities and villages across Ahwaz in protest to the ongoing imposed drought by Iran. 

According to sources and clips published on social media, Ahwaz, Mohammareh, Hamidia, Khafajia, Susa, Maa’shoor, Besaiteen and several other districts across Ahwaz has been witnessing mass demonstrations.

Ahwazis protest against Iran’s hydro projects and policies which have dried out rivers and marshlands and destroyed agriculture and Ahwazi villages and caused forced collective displacement.

These people demand Iran to open the valves of anti Arab dams immediately.

During last week tens of Ahwazi villages and Howaiza marshland have been facing emergency water shortage which caused mass die-off of fish and birds, cows and buffaloes in Howaiza marshland.
