Mass die-off of fish in Howaiza marshland

PADMAZ- During the last three days and due to the imposed drought by the Iranian regime water securitized policies, vast areas in Ahwazi facing life threatening environmental conditions.

In hot summer weather in Ahwaz, where the temperature reaches 50+ C degrees, a mass die-off of fish, cows and lambs and other wild animals is happening in Howaiza (Aladaim) marshland in Ahwaz, during the last three days. 

The inhabitants of the Arab villages around this marshland have published short chips on social media which show the mass die-off of the mentioned animals. 

The whole marshland, with 3500 thousands hectares area, is almost completely dry and there is no water left for the fish and cows whose life is completely related to water. 

In this marshland, thousands of Arab families are living and the lives of a large number of their cattle is under threat.

In rofaiea city and Zahairyeh village and several other villages, located around the marshland, people looking for clean drinking water and have been waiting for the water tankers for hours in the hot 50+C summer weather.
