Officials disclosed systematic discrimination against Ahwazis

The representative of Ahwaz in the Iranian so called parliament disclosed: Mass change of family names done by Arabs in order to overcome the systematic discrimination practiced by Iranian officials against them in Ahwaz.

During last decade, past 15th April 2005 uprising, the regime has banned employment of Arabs and instead increased employing Lurs and Bakhtiaries and brought tens of thousands of these ethnics for changing the demographics of Ahwaz.
