Ibrahim Atshani was arrested during the protests in November 2017 and was released on bail after several months of detention and imprisonment.
Iranian officials have not yet commented on the killing of the two young men in the city of Susa and instead claim that the two young men were shot and detained by security forces during an attack on the court and Basij base. This claim has been denied by the relatives of these two young men.
On a similar event, a week ago, two Ahwazi youths were killed in Falahia city by the Iranian security agents. Abbas Khodayraie, 17 years old, and Jalal Amiri who have been driving a motorcycle and refused stopping at a checkpoint for the Iranian revolutionary guard, were been hit by the car of IRG agents and fallen in a deep water channel and killed.
Every year several Ahwazi young men are shot at the checkpoints and killed. These victims would have not heard any warning at the checkpoints.
