PADMAZ Condemns Execution of Six Ahwazi Activists by Iranian Regime
Statement by the Patriotic Arab Democratic Movement in Ahwaz (PADMAZ)
On the Execution of Six Ahwazi Arab Freedom Activists by the Iranian Regime
Date: Saturday, 4 October 2025
To the proud people of Ahwazi nation,
To our brothers and sisters among the non-Persian nations in Iran,
To all those who stand for justice and freedom across the world,
With hearts filled with sorrow and determination, the Patriotic Arab Democratic Movement in Ahwaz (PADMAZ) condemns in the strongest possible terms the execution of six courageous sons of the Ahwazi Arab nation by the terrorist regime of Iran.
In the early hours of Saturday, 4 October 2025, the Iranian authorities carried out death sentences against six Ahwazi Arab political and social activists who had been imprisoned for years, enduring torture and long periods of solitary confinement.

The executed men were:
- Mohammad Reza Moqaddam (born 1992)
- Moein Khanfari (born 1993)
- Adnan Ghabishawi (born 1996)
- Ali Mojaddam (born 1983)
- Salem Mousawi (born 1984)
- Habib Dris (born 1983)
These men were arrested between 2019 and 2020 and, throughout their detention, were subjected to the harshest forms of physical and psychological torture. Under these brutal conditions, they were coerced into signing forced confessions, which the regime later used as the basis for their sham trials and death sentences.
The accusations brought against them — including the tired and baseless claims of “spying for Western countries and Israel” — were entirely fabricated. These same hollow charges have long been used by the Iranian regime to silence dissent, crush minority voices, and justify its campaign of repression against the Ahwazi Arab people.
This latest atrocity comes at a time when the regime in Tehran faces growing domestic unrest and mounting international pressure over its internal abuses and regional aggression. Having lost any real legitimacy among its own citizens, the regime resorts to violence and executions to spread fear and suppress any call for freedom and self-determination — especially among the oppressed non-Persian nations such as the Ahwazis.
The Patriotic Arab Democratic Movement in Ahwaz (PADMAZ) extends its deepest condolences to the families of the martyrs and to the entire Ahwazi Arab nation. Their sacrifice will not be forgotten; their blood will continue to illuminate the path of our national struggle for freedom and dignity.
We call on the international community, the United Nations, the Human Rights Council, Amnesty International, and all defenders of human rights to speak out clearly and take action against this latest crime by the Iranian regime. Silence in the face of such brutality only emboldens the oppressors.
Finally, PADMAZ reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the cause of the Ahwazi Arab people — to continue the struggle until our homeland is free from oppression, and until justice, freedom, and the right to self-determination are fully achieved.
Glory to the martyrs of freedom.
Long live the Arab nation of Ahwaz.
